Curriculum Planning and Teaching
Learning & Teaching Approach
Our school adopts a child-centred approach to learning. Through project-based learning, free play, and rich outdoor experiences, children learn naturally through daily life, build confidence, express creativity, and develop care and respect for others and the community.
🌱 Project-Based Learning (Project Approach)
Learning begins with children’s interests and real-life experiences. Teachers guide children to ask questions, observe, discuss, and carry out hands-on experiments, allowing them to gradually construct knowledge. Through exploration, children develop thinking skills, learn to express ideas, and build confidence in learning.
🔄 Free Play Learning
Teachers integrate ideas from Anji Play and the Reggio Emilia approach, providing children with a safe and open environment for self-directed exploration. Through play, children experiment, take on challenges, and collaborate with others, developing creativity, problem-solving skills, and self-management.
🧩 Small Group Learning & Peer Interaction
A variety of small group activities are arranged in class. Through cooperation, sharing, and discussion, children learn to listen to others, develop communication skills, and build mutual respect.
🌞 Outdoor Experiences & Community Learning
The school actively arranges outdoor and community learning activities, encouraging children to step outside the classroom. Through first-hand experiences, children learn about their community, enhance observation skills, and develop care and concern for others.
🎨 Messy Play Day
Messy Play Day is held every month, allowing children to explore materials through their senses and engage in free creation. Children fully enjoy learning in a relaxed and joyful atmosphere while unleashing their imagination.
📚 Reading Culture & Home-School Partnership
The school promotes a parent-child book borrowing programme and the “Story Parents” reading sessions, encouraging families to read together. These activities help nurture children’s interest in reading and strengthen collaboration between home and school.
🏃 Physical Development & Health
The school places great importance on children’s physical and emotional well-being. A variety of physical activities and group games are arranged daily to help children build strength, learn cooperation, and develop healthy lifestyle habits.
